Our Girls & Football SA players celebrated Women’s Day by participating in a five a-side tournament hosted by Train4Changes in Stellenbosch. The girls played in three games against primary schools from around Stellenbosch: such an excellent way to honor the day!
Our girls were coached by Griselda and Nancee who boosted the girls’ confidence and encouraged a safe space. The tournament culminated in an awards ceremony for the winning teams. Our youngest player was awarded “Best Young Player,” (she is so proud of her medal!).
A big thank you for Train4Changes and the Stellenbosch Municipality for hosting such a wonderful event. We are looking forward to joining in next year to shine the light on all our female football players!
